-------------------------------

A long time ago, there was a baby bear called Bo.

He lived with his mother, Mummy Bear and father, Daddy Bear in a beautiful little house in the woods.

Bo was a happy little bear who loved playing with his toys all day long.

And there was something else he loved - fish pies.

But what he loved even more than fish pies was going to the stream in the woods to catch fish, along with his father and mother.

One night, at dinner, Mummy Bear told Bo that they were going fishing the next day.

Ooooh yes! Bo felt so very happy.

The next day, after lunch, they left for the stream.

Daddy Bear was carrying a fishing rod and Mummy Bear a bucket to carry the fish back home.

There was also a little picnic basket.

Bo skipped along happily with his parents and soon they reached the stream.

There, Mummy Bear put down the basket on a picnic mat.

And Daddy Bear got his fishing rod ready to fish.

Bo ran happily up and down the bank of the stream singing...

"We're having fish pie; we're having fish pie..."

He would also run up to Daddy Bear every now and then to ask "Did we catch any fish yet daddy?"

But even after a long time Daddy Bear did not catch any fish.

He became sad. So, Mummy Bear called everyone to have the picnic.

She had packed along some delicious berry jam sandwiches.

Seeing Daddy Bear so sad, Bo asked him if he could also help with catching fish.

His father said yes!

So, after they ate their picnic, Bo sat with his father on the bank of the stream, holding the fishing rod and singing "the fish will bite, the fish will bite..."

And what do you think happened?

The fish bit. First one and then many.

Soon the bucket was full of fishes.

Bo felt so happy and his father was even more happy.

Mummy Bear soon packed up to go home. She had fish pies to make.

So, all three of them walked back home happily.

Soon as they reached, Mummy Bear got busy making fish pies for everyone.

Daddy Bear helped with cleaning the fish.

Bo helped with the pastry dough.

Once the pie was in the oven, the kitchen started to smell wonderful.

Bo loved the smell so much.

Bo also loved it that his father and mother cooked for him.

He loved it that they were a happy family who did everything together.

And soon, he'd be having some yummy-yummy fish pie with his family…

…sitting around the kitchen table and telling happy fishing stories. Hurray!
