Little Ringo Rabbit loved chasing after things.

He loved running after rolling pebbles. And leaves flying in the wind.

He loved chasing after butterflies and bugs...

He simply loved it when he ran after things. Ooooh yes. He just had to keep running.

But Daddy and Mommy Rabbit did not like Ringo running around so much.

He'd always came back worried with the noises he'd heard.

He'd be very quiet for a while afterwards...

And then along would come a butterfly or bug and Ringo would be running around again.

One day, he found Linda, the shiny red ladybug, right outside his house.

His house was called The Burrow, and it was underground.

Just outside his house was a big patch of tall grass.

The ladybug was sitting on a blade of grass, enjoying the sunshine.

"Oh, hello Linda," said Ringo. He was happy that he'd found someone to run after.

"Can I chase after you for a bit?" he asked Linda.

"Oh yes," said the ladybug laughing.

"But you can't catch meeeee," she said as she flew away laughing even more.

Ringo ran after her happily.

At first, he did not run so fast. But as Linda flew further away, he started running faster.

This was so much fun. Faster and faster, he went, following Linda Ladybug.

Suddenly, he heard a long, loud noise and stopped chasing immediately.

He looked around and realised he was far from home.

When Linda looked back, she did not see Ringo.

So, she came searching and saw him looking worried, even a little scared.

"What's wrong Ringo?" asked Linda. "Am I too fast for you..."

"No," said Ringo "but what's that noise? Think I should run back home..."

"What?" asked Linda "That's Elsa Elephant, playing in her backyard..."

"Are you scared of an elephant trumpeting?"

"Mmmm, that's a funny noise, a bit scary too don't you think?" asked Ringo.

"No," said Linda. "That's the noise baby Elsa makes when she plays in her backyard..."

"Come and look...," she flew over a bush, looked back and called Ringo again.

Ringo Rabbit waited a bit and then followed Linda.

What do you think he saw next?

A baby elephant rolling in the mud outside her home and trumpeting happily.

It was such a happy sight. It made Ringo Rabbit happy and he ran after Linda Ladybug again.

"Do you want to go home now?" asked Linda. “You can chase after me till your door…”

"Yes," said Ringo. As he turned to run back home behind Linda, he heard another loud noise.

And he was worried again.

But Linda told him not to worry and showed him a baby giraffe with her mother.

Little Gia Giraffe was running around her mother’s legs and snorting happily. Mamma Giraffe was snorting back too…

Ringo was happy again.

"But why are you so scared when you hear noises Ringo?" asked Linda.

"I don't know...," said Ringo chasing after her.

As he was nearing his home, he heard yet another loud noise.

Oh-oh! It came from the pond every day... and it always worried him like now… what could it be?

"That’s little Hazel Hippo," said Linda. "Her mother is giving her a bath, come and look..."

Ringo came out from hiding slowly and looked where Linda pointed.

What did he see there? The cutest baby hippo in the world splashing happily in the water and snorting loudly.

So that was the noise he used to hear every day and be scared of…?  He was scared of a baby hippo?

The cutest baby hippo in the world? Naaaah! How could he…

That was so silly!

Ringo ran home happily, saying bye to Linda.

And from that day on, Ringo Rabbit was not afraid of noises anymore.
